Peppa and George are playing with Pedro Pony. They are going to jump in muddy puddles. Suddenly, Pedro slips and loses his glasses. "Slip. Slip. Glasses. Glasses. Where are my glasses?" Pedro cries. Without his glasses, Pedro cannot see very well. George finds Pedro's glasses and brings them back. "Oh! Silly George. Here they are. Thank you." Pedro explains that he wears glasses because the optician says he needs them. Peppa is curious: "What's an optician?" Pedro answers, "My daddy is an optician. He checks that you can see clearly."

Pedro says that an optician checks your eyes by doing an eye test. Peppa wants to try it. "Shall I give you an eye test?" she asks. Pedro agrees. "Close one eye and say what you see," says Peppa. Pedro replies, "I can see George." Peppa then says, "Now close both eyes." Pedro answers, "Now I can't see anything." Peppa concludes, "I think you need glasses." Just then, Pedro’s mum calls, “Home time!” Peppa rushes home and tells Mummy Pig, "I need glasses!" Mummy Pig is confused. Peppa insists, "Pedro gave me an eye test."

Mummy Pig laughs and says, "But no one can see anything with their eyes closed." Daddy Pig joins in, and they decide to take Peppa to a real optician for a proper eye test. George is asked if he wants one too, but he says no. At the optician’s, Mr. Pony, who is Pedro’s dad, greets them. He asks Peppa to sit down and put on special glasses. Mr. Pony shows her a chart and asks her to read some letters.

Peppa reads, “A, B, C, D, E, F.” Then he asks her to read numbers: “One, two, three, four, five, six.” Finally, she reads colors: “Red, green, orange, blue, yellow, purple.” Mr. Pony checks her results while Peppa tries on different glasses. She tries some funny glasses, some too big ones, and finally finds a pair she really likes. Mummy Pig says, “You look fantastic!” But Mr. Pony announces, “Peppa has perfect eyesight.” So she doesn’t need glasses after all.

Peppa is disappointed because she really wanted glasses. Mr. Pony suggests, “You could have some sunglasses.” Peppa is excited. “Yes, sunglasses!” She gets a pair and says, “I hope it's sunny every day so I can always wear my sunglasses.”
