形容词恐怕; 害怕的; 担心的; 畏惧，害怕

1. 害怕的；恐惧的
If you are afraid of someone or afraid to do something, you are frightened because you think that something very unpleasant is going to happen to you.

e.g. She did not seem at all afraid...
她毫无惧色。
e.g. I was afraid of the other boys...
我害怕其他的男孩们。

2. 担心的；忧虑的
If you are afraid for someone else, you are worried that something horrible is going to happen to them.

e.g. She's afraid for her family in Somalia.
她为身在索马里的家人担心。

3. 顾忌的；犯愁的
If you are afraid that something unpleasant will happen, you are worried that it may happen and you want to avoid it.

e.g. I was afraid that nobody would believe me...
我担心没有人会相信我。
e.g. The Government is afraid of losing the election...
现届政府担心会在选举中落败。

4. （用以道歉或婉转地提出异议）很抱歉，很遗憾，恐怕
If you want to apologize to someone or to disagree with them in a polite way, you can say I'm afraid.

e.g. We don't have anything like that, I'm afraid...

e.g. I'm afraid I can't help you...
恐怕我帮不了你。

1. 教练
A coach is someone who trains a person or team of people in a particular sport.

e.g. Tony Woodcock has joined German amateur team SC Brueck as coach.

When someone coaches a person or a team, they help them to become better at a particular sport.

e.g. Beckenbauer coached the West Germans to success in the World Cup final in Italy...

e.g. I had coached the Alliance team for some time.

A coach is a person who is in charge of a sports team.

You can refer to something that people do regularly as a practice .

e.g. Some firms have cut workers' pay below the level set in their contract, a practice that is illegal in Germany...

2. 练习；训练
Practice means doing something regularly in order to be able to do it better. A practice is one of these periods of doing something.

e.g. She was taking all three of her daughters to basketball practice every day...

e.g. ...the hard practice necessary to develop from a learner to an accomplished musician...

3. （医生或律师的）业务活动，工作；宗教活动
The work done by doctors and lawyers is referred to as the practice of medicine and law. People's religious activities are referred to as the practice of a religion.

e.g. ...the practice of internal medicine...

4. 诊所；律师事务所
A doctor's or lawyer's practice is his or her business, often shared with other doctors or lawyers.

e.g. The new doctor's practice was miles away from where I lived...

e.g. My law practice isn't the most important thing in my life, you know.
