1. 历史
You can refer to the events of the past as history. You can also refer to the past events which concern a particular topic or place as its history.

e.g. The Catholic Church has played a prominent role throughout Polish history.
天主教会在整个波兰历史上曾发挥过举足轻重的作用。
e.g. ...the most evil mass killer in history.

2. 历史学;史学
History is a subject studied in schools, colleges, and universities that deals with events that have happened in the past.

A history is an account of events that have happened in the past.

e.g. ...his magnificent history of broadcasting in Canada.

e.g. ...oral histories taken from elderly people in Rochester.

4. 记录;习惯;（某地的）沿革
If a person or a place has a history of something, it has been very common or has happened frequently in their past.

e.g. He had a history of drink problems...

e.g. The boy's mother had a history of abusing her children.
男孩的母亲过去常虐待自己的孩子。

5. 履历;经历
Someone's history is the set of facts that are known about their past.

e.g. He couldn't get a new job because of his medical history.
由于他的病史，他无法找到新的工作。

6. 历史的陈迹;（无关紧要的）往事
If you say that an event, thing, or person is history, you mean that they are no longer important.

e.g. The Charlottetown agreement is history.
夏洛特敦协定已成为历史。

7. 接下来的事就世人皆知了
If you are telling someone about an event and say the rest is history, you mean that you do not need to tell them what happened next because everyone knows about it already.

e.g. We met at college, the rest is history.
我们是在上大学时认识的，接下来的事大家都知道了。

A palace is a very large impressive house, especially one which is the official home of a king, queen, or president.

e.g. ...Buckingham Palace...

2. 王室
When the members of a royal palace make an announcement through an official spokesperson, they can be referred to as the Palace .

e.g. The Palace will not comment on questions about the family's private life.

You can refer to any large splendid house or other building as a palace .

e.g. They'd bought a huge barn with some land and planned to turn it into a palace.

If you feel proud, you feel pleased about something good that you possess or have done, or about something good that a person close to you has done.

e.g. I felt proud of his efforts...

If something is useful, you can use it to do something or to help you in some way.

e.g. The slow cooker is very useful for people who go out all day...

e.g. Hypnotherapy can be useful in helping you give up smoking...
催眠疗法可能有助于你戒烟。
