    DescriptionDescription
This article explains how to properly write English email closings and signatures, covering both formal and informal emails, and provides practical tips to improve professionalism and courtesy in email writing.

Our final part of the lesson is about closings and emails. Unlike in a formal business letter, there are a number of ways to close an email. The most formal way is to use sincerely. You'd probably want to use this with someone you don't know or if the topic of the email is serious. Normally, we use one of the following closings. Choose one or two you like and use those. Notice that we always have a comma after the closing.

In an email, we don't have to put user closing. We can just put our name at the end. Sometimes with a dash before the name. We usually do this with people we know well like our colleagues. Write your name on the next line after the closing. You can also include your position, the company you work for, and your phone number.
