This article explains how to identify conference information in English listening exercises and use appropriate vocabulary to write a conference announcement, along with opportunities for practical writing practice.

Hi, welcome back for the last lesson in this course on Planning and Negotiation. In this lesson, we'll talk a bit more about writing an announcement, particularly the language of announcements. At the end, you'll have a chance to write your own announcement. By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify information for a conference, and then use appropriate vocabulary to write an announcement for a conference.

Let's start by reading an announcement for a conference. As you read, look for this information. Does this conference have a name? Is the organizer mentioned? What kind of people will attend this conference? Who is the announcement from? How long is the conference? What is included in the registration? What if people get more information?
